¿Qué era el arte contemporáneo?, de nuevo | What was contemporary art?, again

“The thing I am”: Borges. Eso, el que habla: Beckett. “La vida que se es”: Lispector. Y luego un poco todos: Nauman, Oiticica. Radigue, Scelsi. Un poco todos.

No: what is it? The art of a time in which some (not many) artists (that’s the way they call themselves) try to induce, through images, sound compositions, arrangements of sentences, the experience that she who hears or sees or reads the sentences or sounds or images is a subject who happens to exist. The experience of each one’s presence to themselves (at the same time as each one’s presence in the world). The experience of the dimension of everyone that the word “subjectivity” would like to describe. “The thing I am”: Borges. The one who speaks: Beckett. A little bit everybody: Nauman, Oiticica. Radigue, Scelsi. Everybody, a little bit.
